The Union City Council will consider acceptance of the Bureau of Justice Assistance and the Community Oriented Policing Grants 7 p.m. Tuesday at Union City Hall, 5047 Union St. If accepted, the grants will provide funds to purchase body worn cameras and hire additional police officers.

Another item considered is revising Chapter 9 Section 9-17 of the Code of Ordinance, regarding salespersons, solicitors, and peddlers. The item was deferred by the council last month for 30 days.

Council will also consider an agreement to provide legal representation to some indigent defendants. The council will discuss what defendants would qualify.
