The Lawrenceville City Council recently approved $161,280 to install primary electric cable and equipment under South Clayton Street from Nash Street to The Lawrenceville Lawn using directional bore.

Two of the contractors solicited declined to bid due to scheduling conflicts. Low bidder, Over and Under General Contractor, Inc. of Lawrenceville will perform the work to include materials, installation, traffic control, warranty and bonds. The project is funded by the Electric Fund Capital Account.

This is just one piece of the ongoing project to convert South Perry Street and South Clayton Street to two-way traffic, except for Clayton between Crogan and Pike, which will remain as is. Intersections throughout the city are being widened and receiving signal improvements, including pedestrian signals.
