Tex-Mex chain Uncle Julio’s decided to close its two metro Atlanta locations, a spokeswoman with the company told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“We have chosen to permanently close our Atlanta-area locations, which have been closed since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic,” the spokeswoman said in a statement. “We appreciate the support of our guests and community.”

The chain had a Buckhead location at 1860 Peachtree Road, and another in Sandy Springs at 6115 Peachtree Dunwoody Road.

The company has not specified why they decided to close the restaurants.

Uncle Julio’s has locations in Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
