Works by important Southern historians such as E. Merton Coulter, Albert Berry Saye, and Kenneth Coleman can be downloaded for free through a new digital book project.

The University of Georgia Press and the Digital Library of Georgia are collaborating to make books about the state's history more accessible to students, researchers and general readers.

So far 49 books have been transferred, including some out-of-print.
