Looks like colleges are beginning to thaw. The University of Georgia announced classes will be held Thursday.

The campus will have a delayed opening and classes will begin with those regularly scheduled for 11 a.m., according to a note from UGA officials.

The college extended the deadlines to add or drop a course because of this week's closings. The drop deadline for undergraduates is Jan. 20, while the add deadline is Jan. 21.
