ATHENS — Jonathan Ledbetter, a rising sophomore defensive lineman at Georgia, was arrested early Sunday morning on two alcohol-related misdemeanors.

Ledbetter, 18, was charged with possessing or making a false ID, and underage possession/furnishing alcohol, according to the Athens-Clarke County jail site. The Athens-Clarke County police department is listed as the arresting agency.

The details of the incident were not immediately available. He was booked at 3:11 a.m. and released at 4:13 a.m. on a total bond of $3,000.

Ledbetter appeared in seven games last year, recording four tackles. A four-star recruit out of Tucker High School – when he was once committed to Alabama – Ledbetter was in line for a bigger role this season.

There was no immediate comment from a UGA spokesman or first-year head coach Kirby Smart.
