Two Fayette County seats open on advisory board

Fayette County is accepting applications for two vacancies on the Region Six Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Addictive Diseases Regional Advisory Council.

The three-member volunteer board helps prepare an annual plan for disabilities services by identifying local needs and priorities. The council meets 1-4 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every other month in Thomaston, and the positions have an attendance requirement.

The first open term begins immediately and serves until Feb. 28, 2021; the second position begins in October and expires Sept. 30, 2020. Applications, available from Tameca White at twhite@fayettecountyga.gov or 770-305-5103, are due Oct. 20.
