Fayette County is accepting applications for two vacancies on the Region Six Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Addictive Diseases Regional Advisory Council.

The three-member volunteer board helps prepare an annual plan for disabilities services by identifying local needs and priorities. The council meets 1-4 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every other month in Thomaston, and the positions have an attendance requirement.

The first open term begins immediately and serves until Feb. 28, 2021; the second position begins in October and expires Sept. 30, 2020. Applications, available from Tameca White at twhite@fayettecountyga.gov or 770-305-5103, are due Oct. 20.
