Duluth’s Parks and Recreation Department will be removing playground structures at Taylor Park and Church Street Park within the next few weeks.

The Taylor Park wooden ‘Train Water Tower’ climbing structure will be replaced with a similar structure made from galvanized power coated steel. The new Taylor Park water tower structure is expected to last for generations to come.

The wooden playground structures at Church Street Park are outdated and in need of replacement and will be removed to make way for another park amenity. The Parks and Recreation Department would like the community to assist in either designing a new playground for the site or in suggesting another type of park equipment for the Church Street Park.
