Two southeast Atlanta roads are closed for two weeks for sewer work.

Bates Avenue between Hosea L. Williams Drive and Oakview Road closed on Monday while crews worked on the sewer main line, Atlanta Watershed Management said in a news release. Oakview Road between Rocky Ford Road and the intersection of Bates Avenue is also closed.
Residents who park on the street will need to find alternative parking. However, they will continue to have access to mail delivery, emergency services and trash pick-up during the closures.
Drivers are urged to use 1st Avenue and Hosea L. Williams Drive as detours.
