Two renovated Atlanta high schools earned the "Award of Excellence" from the Atlanta Urban Design Commission. Benjamin E. Mays and North Atlanta high schools were recognized at the commission's 35th annual ceremony, which highlights innovative design and quality construction in Atlanta. Both schools recently received extensive multimillion dollar updates. Atlanta Public Schools projects have received six awards since 2004.
