Two APS charter schools get mixed outcome

The Atlanta school board Monday voted not to renew the charter of University Community Academy for a third five-year term. The current five-year term expires on June 30. The district expressed concerns about lagging test scores and declining enrollment. In 2009, the school had 420 students, and now it has 320.
