Twin brothers were killed Wednesday in a fire at their residence in far North Georgia, according to a report.

The men were 24, Walker County Coroner Dewayne Wilson told the Chattanooga Times Free Press. Their identities were not released.

Around 2:15 p.m., county emergency services workers received a call about the fire inside an addition to a manufactured home in Rossville, county spokesman Joe Legge said.

He said when firefighters found the home, it was “roughly 30 percent involved.”

Wilson said he wasn't sure what started the fire or if other people were home at the time.

The bodies will be taken to the GBI Crime Lab for autopsies. The Walker County Fire Department and the Georgia Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner were at the scene.

Rossville shares its northern border with Tennessee, and it’s about 115 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta.

An investigation is ongoing.
