Turner Church Road closed for realignment, paving

Henry County officials announced Oct. 2 that a portion of Turner Church Road would be closed that day and remain closed until Oct. 17.

The area in question is just east of Golden Meadow Drive (Mountain Brook Village subdivision road) up to just west of 902 Turner Church Road (about one-tenth of a mile west of Hwy. 20). The closure is related to construction work along Turner Church Road as part of the planned SPLOST project for realignment and paving of the road. Depending upon weather, the closure could extend beyond Oct. 17. A detour is in place and motorists are encouraged to be aware of signage and other indicators along the route.
