If the I-85 bridge collapse hasn't made your commute bad enough, just wait until Friday.

That's when President Donald Trump will arrive in Atlanta to address the National Rifle Association's annual convention at the Georgia World Congress Center downtown. And he's not the only prominent politician attending.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Florida Gov. Rick Scott, U.S. Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke and Georgia’s own Sen. David Perdue are among the speakers at the NRA convention, which runs from Thursday through Sunday.

The convention is expected to draw 80,000 people and hundreds of exhibitors, which will make traffic complicated enough around the conference center. The president’s attendance likely will cause further headaches, as several roads likely will be closed at times to accommodate his motorcade.

Trump also is expected to attend a fund-raiser for 6th Congressional District candidate Karen Handel Friday afternoon.
