A tractor-trailer hauling 36,900 pounds of explosives has been involved in a four-vehicle crash on I-285 eastbound in DeKalb County.

The explosives, which are stable, have not spilled, Shata Spikes with Georgia Department of Transportation told the AJC. Two lanes of I-285 were closed near Flat Shoals Thursday afternoon, she said.

Two passenger vehicles and another tractor-trailer were also involved in the wreck, Spikes said.

DeKalb County police were at the scene, along with a wrecker.
