Peachtree City residents have at least two options for recycling their Christmas trees.

McIntosh High School lacrosse players will pick up and transport trees to the Rockaway Road Mulch Center on Jan. 4-5, 11-12 and 18 in exchange for a donation to the team. Lights, ornaments, wire, tinsel, nails and stands must all be removed first, and no flocked trees can be accepted. Pickup signup is at www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0e4da4ad2aa3fc1-mhslacrosse or by emailing mhstree@gmail.com; include your preferred date along with your address and phone number.

Three tree recycling dropoff locations will be available 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Jan. 4. Residents can bring their trees (with all decorations removed, and nothing flocked) to the Rockaway Road Mulch Center off Hwy. 74 South, the Home Depot on Hwy. 54 West or behind the Kroger in Kedron. Volunteers from Keep Peachtree City Beautiful will be on hand to help at each site.
