A Cobb motorist pulled over for a traffic violation was hauling more than 20 pounds of marijuana, according to a criminal warrant.

Ian Sean Smith attracted police attention by not using his blinker May 25 when making a right-hand turn onto Cobb Parkway from Airport Industrial Drive, the arresting officer said in a warrant.

A police dog signaled drugs were inside the vehicle, a 2012 Dodge. An inspection of the passenger compartment and trunk turned up 20.5 pounds of marijuana.

Smith is charged with trafficking marijuana, a felony, and making an improper turn, a misdemeanor.
