Crews in Milton will begin transforming an intersection this week.

Beginning Wednesday, the intersection of Morris Road and Webb Road will become a temporary roundabout. Barrels will be placed around the under-construction roundabout while work continues.

The project began in June and the intersection is set to become a permanent roundabout by October.

A city spokesperson says there is also a road widening project related to the roundabout work, and that project’s timeline is still “to be determined.”

The project is funded by a Transportation Special Purpose Local-Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) Fulton County citizens approved in 2016. The five-year referendum is estimated to bring $37 million to Milton to fund transportation projects.
