Drivers in Sandy Springs will need to find a detour for two weeks beginning on May 8.

That’s when a stretch of Roswell Road will be closed for utility work by Georgia Power. The stretch of the road that will be closed is the southbound curb lane between Mt. Vernon and Johnson Ferry Roads.

Sandy Springs says work will begin on May 8 and continue for about two weeks, Monday through Friday’s, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and use caution when driving in the area. Updates will be posted on the city's website at sandyspringsga.gov/roadwork.
