About three miles of Ga. 400 in north Fulton County will be closed Sunday morning due to a bike ride.

From 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. on July 8, the southbound side of Ga. 400 from Holcomb Bridge Road in Alpharetta to Northridge Road in Sandy Springs will be closed for the bikers.

The bike ride will not be stopped by rain, organizers said.

The race is the 10th Annual Ga. 400 Ride. It begins at 6:45 a.m. at 1425 Market Blvd. in Roswell. More than 1,900 cyclists are expected to participate.

The city of Alpharetta says that motorists should expect heavy delays on Ga. 400 that day, and that cyclists will be on several streets in Alpharetta from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday.
