A gas leak has caused a few roads to close in Sandy Springs on Tuesday.

At 10:26 a.m., city officials reported there was a leak near Northside Drive and Old Powers Ferry Road.

As crews fix the leak, a stretch of Northside Drive between Mt. Vernon Hwy and Old Powers Ferry Road is closed. Old Powers Ferry Road Northwest and Riverview Road Northwest are also closed.

City spokeswoman Sharon Kraun said that no homes or businesses have been evacuated. She also said that “digging by City of Atlanta Watershed appears” to have caused the leak.

The Sandy Springs fire department and Atlanta Gas have repair crews at the scene.
