All eastbound lanes of U.S. 78 in Snellville at Summit Chase Drive have been reopened after being shut down for 45 minutes, Snellville police said.
The shutdown was due to "debris in the road," according to a post on the police department's Twitter account. The lanes reopened at 9:16 a.m.
The highway appears to have reopened ahead of schedule; police department had told drivers to avoid U.S. 78 eastbound for “at least the next hour” in their 8:32 a.m. tweet.
