The driver of a tractor was found dead in the vehicle Wednesday morning off I-85 in Union City, police said.

Shortly before 10 a.m., police responded to the single-vehicle accident on I-85 North, just north of Ga. Highway 138. The man who was driving the bobtail tractor was found unresponsive in the driver’s seat, wearing a seat belt, according to a media release by Union City police.

Responders at the scene said the driver appeared to have no visible injuries. So the driver apparently had a medical emergency that caused him to leave the road and collide with an embankment.

The man’s name has not been released.
