Three candidates have qualified to run for city council Post 2 in Duluth. Kirkland Dion Carden, James “Jim” T. Dugan (Incumbent), and Chaohan “Louis” Tseng will compete for the council seat. Marsha A. Bomar, currently the incumbent for Post 1, and Billy Jones, the incumbent for Post 3, will run unopposed.

Advanced voting begins Oct. 16 through Nov 5 for the Nov. 7 election. A run-off election, if needed, will be held Dec. 5.

All voting to elect city council members takes place at Duluth City Hall, 3167 Main St. regardless of polling places for the county, state or federal elections. Only residents of the incorporated city of Duluth are eligible to vote for mayor and council.
