Three men were arrested early Friday after Alpharetta police said they smashed their way into North Point Mall, then tried to break into the mall's Apple store.

Alpharetta police spokesman George Gordon said that officers responding to an early morning alarm call at the mall just off Ga. 400 found that a front glass window had been smashed.

Those officers "determined the suspects had attempted a break in of the Apple store," Gordon said.

He said officers spotted the suspects' getaway vehicle as they attempted to flee the city and conducted a traffic stop, which resulted in the arrests of three men in dark clothing who were responsible for the mall break-in and attempted break-in of the Apple store.

"Evidence was recovered from the vehicle indicating these suspects were responsible for the crimes," Gordon said.

Police have not released the names of the suspects.
