Duluth’s municipal election will be Nov. 7 at Duluth City Hall, 3167 Main St., to elect three members of the city council. Candidates interested in filling one of the three open posts must designate the council position they are seeking: Council Post 1, currently held by incumbent Marsha Anderson Bomar; Council Post 2 position, held by incumbent James T. Dugan; or Council Post 3, held by incumbent Robert “Billy” Jones.

Qualifying begins 8:30 a.m. Aug. 21, and ends at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 23, at City Hall. A fee of $180, which is 3 percent of the council post annual salary, is due at the time of qualifying.

All voting to elect the mayor and city council members takes place at Duluth City Hall regardless of polling places for the county, state or federal elections. Only residents of incorporated City of Duluth are eligible to vote for mayor and council.
