Three counties earn highest marks for website transparency

Fulton, Cobb and Clayton counties have again received perfect scores from a nonprofit that grades government websites for transparency. The Sunshine Review gave A+'s to FultonCountyGa.gov, CobbCountyGa.gov and ClaytonCountyGa.gov, citing their links to budgets, audits, contracts, lobbying disclosures and open records request procedures. The organization does not evaluate how well governments respond to records requests.

No other Georgia counties or cities received perfect grades. Gwinnett has a C and DeKalb has a C-. Eighty counties have Fs, and the state website has a B. Atlanta has a C.
