Three Chattahoochee Hills City Council seats, for Districts 1, 3, and 5, are open for qualifying for the Nov. 3 general election. Qualifying opens at 8:30 a.m., Sept. 2, and closes 4:30 p.m., Sept. 4. Prospective candidates can qualify by filing a Notice of Candidacy at the Chattahoochee Hills City Hall, 6505 Rico Road. The qualifying fee is $36 for council candidates. Candidates must be 21 years of age; they must be city residents for 12 months before the election date and are required to remain so during the council member’s term of office. Each candidate must be registered and qualified to vote in city elections; and candidates for the council districts must be a resident of such district continuously for six months before the election date.
