After about 15 years in business, a Roswell Walgreens closed its doors to customers for the last time Tuesday.

The decision to close the 10790 Alpharetta Highway location was “not easy,” according to a spokesman. He did not elaborate on why the store closed.

Former pharmacy patients do not need to take any action; prescription records will automatically transfer to the store at 695 W. Crossville Road. Patients can expect to receive a letter in the mail with more information about their prescription records.

All the employees in the now-closed store have been placed with jobs in other area Walgreens, the spokesman said.
