Food Truck Friday in DuluthEnjoy "exotic flavors and amazing cuisine" at Food Truck Friday that takes place 6 – 9 p.m.  July 8. Music will be provided by The Musician Playground Festival.

Friday Night Drift and Track & Fireworks. Lanier Raceplex has opened its race track to anyone wanting to test out their car racing chops. ITrack Motorsports is hosting an event for people to learn more about racing, particularly "drifting" (the art of controlling an out-of-control car). 

The show runs from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. July 8. Afterwards, there will be a firework display from 10:10 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The event is open to newcomers and professional racers. To enter your car, visit www.itrackms.com.

Aurora Theatre: Ghost Tour. Lawrenceville – one of the oldest cities in the Atlanta metro area – has remained a sleepy suburban town. However, with the growth and development of the downtown metro area, downtown renovations have awakened sleepy ghosts.  

Tours begin at 8:30 p.m. on July 8 and 9. Tickets: adults $12 and children $9. Tours begin and end at Aurora Theatre (128 East Pike Street Lawrenceville.)

SummerStage Concert Series. At 8 p.m. July 9, watch the Breakfast Club, one of the longest running, most recognized '80's band in the United States. From 8-10 p.m. at the City of Duluth's City Hall.  Tickets are $9.24 per seat at one table. Each table seats eight people.
