If the heat wasn’t enough, there are also four road projects in Marietta that might cause you to sweat this summer.
The projects are throughout East Cobb and all deal with something different.
Check out the projects below and how to deal with them:
Mountain View Elementary School
As the Cobb County School District moves Mountain View Elementary School into a new building, transportation workers will work to make sure everyone gets into school safely.
Crews will close Davis Road from Sandy Plains Road to Holly Springs Road until July 17 to install new right-turn and left-turn lanes on Sandy Plains Road, rebuild a traffic signal at the intersection and add flashing school zone beacons.
The county said the new school will have three times the space for student drop-offs.
The project will cost Cobb’s transportation department $1 million, which will come from the 2016 SPLOST, or Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax.
Little Willeo Road
Little Willeo Road between Willow Point Parkway and Odins Way in Marietta will be closed to through-traffic until July 28.
Crews will be replacing the entire bridge on Little Willeo Road over Timber Ridge Branch, the county said. They will also create two travel lanes and shoulders along with a path for pedestrians.

Keheley Drive drainage project
Keheley Drive from Kemp Road to Keheley Road is closed to through-traffic until June 25 as crews fix a drainage issue.
