As the start of the school year continues to encroach on what’s left of summer, parents may start wondering if they know everything they need to about their child’s school.

Here’s one question you may have overlooked: Do I need to familiarize myself with a new principal?

There are nearly 10 new Atlanta Public Schools principals this upcoming year, according to a spokesman. Check below to see if your kid’s school has one of them.

• Anita Lawrence, Bolton Academy

• Jacob Bland, Brandon Elementary

• Octavius Harris, Ralph J. Bunche Middle

• Tiffany Momon, Cascade Elementary

• Ernest Sessoms, Dunbar Elementary

• Tasha Davis, KIPP Soul Primary (new school)

• Emily Boatright, Sarah Smith Elementary

• Yolanda Weems, Tuskegee Airmen Global Academy

• Kara Stimpson, Young Middle
