Cobb police reported an increase in thefts from cars in Northeast Cobb this month, recommending Cobb residents remove valuables and lock car doors at night. The monthly Cobb police email notification also noted that burglaries tend to increase during summer vacation season. The department suggests locking doors, windows and garages and not posting vacation plans or photos on social networks until after the trip.
