Part of a southwest Atlanta road will close Wednesday as crews with the popular AMC show “The Walking Dead” film on private property.

One southbound lane of Avon Avenue will close between Murphy Avenue and Sylvan Road from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., according to the Mayor’s Office of Entertainment.

Two more lanes along Avon Avenue will also close from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. between Murphy Avenue and Hartford Avenue.

Crews will be using an empty lot on Avon Avenue as an “apocalyptic parking lot,” according to details about the closure Atlanta Councilwoman Joyce Shepherd shared on her Facebook page.

Since 2010, “The Walking Dead” has filmed in metro Atlanta and parts of Georgia. The show’s 10th season debuted on Oct. 6.
