The Square Pub, located in the heart of downtown Decatur, is set to close its doors Saturday night after nearly 10 years in business.

In a Facebook post announcing the closure, the bar and restaurant invited patrons for “one last round” on Saturday.

“We’re excited to spend one last day with all of you and we ask that we all take the time to really enjoy it!” the post stated. “The Square Pub has never been just a bar, when we opened almost ten years ago our goal was to open a restaurant that felt like home to not only our guests but also our staff.”

The pub, which serves southwestern-inspired dishes and a wide range of draft beers, is located in Decatur Square between Mac McGee Irish Pub and The Iberian Pig. Its website describes the hangout as a “neighborhood staple.”

The Facebook post did not say why the business is closing or what would happen to the space.
