Swansea police search for DeKalb County murder suspect Julian Walker. The search ended Wednesday morning when Walker shot and killed himself.

Walker, who was wanted for killing his estranged wife and his ex-girlfriend's stepfather, ended the manhunt on Wednesday when he shot and killed himself Wednesday in a St. Louis suburb.

At about 8:15 a.m. Atlanta time officers said they heard a sinle gunshot and saw a "puff of smoke," police Lt. Ron Burckhardt said.

Police move down a set of railroad tracks in Fairview Hieghts, Ill. They manned roadblocks, just north of Interstate 64 and east Illinois Route 159, and looked for Walker from a helicopter and an airplane.
