The Palins' daughter Bristol

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, now John McCain's GOP vice presidential running mate, announced earlier this week that her daughter Bristol is five month's pregnant.

Bristol Palin is the oldest daughter of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd.

Levi had been a student at Wasilla High School in Alaska, but his mother said he is no longer a student. She wouldn't say whether he had graduated.

Bristol Palin, 17, is five months pregnant, her parents announced earlier in the week.

Levi's mother said the two teens had made plans to wed before it was known she was pregnant and that there was no pressure for the two to marry.

During her mother's introduction to the nation as John McCain's VP running mate, Bristol sat in the background with her infant brother Trig and other family members.

John McCain's campaign said the Arizona senator knew about Bristol's pregnancy before naming her mother as his vice presidential running mate.

Johnston's mother, Sherry, said her 18-year-old son left Alaska on Tuesday morning to join the Palin family at the Republican convention in St. Paul.
