Q: What brand of laundry soap do the Atlanta Braves use on their uniforms? I buy name brands from the market, but I can't seem to get my clothes as bright.

-- John Anthony Ricci, Tallapoosa

A: The Braves have had their white uniforms professionally cleaned by an Atlanta service for more than 20 years, a team spokeswoman told Q&A on the News. All other clothes, such as batting practice jerseys, shorts, socks and their undergarments, are washed in a combination of two detergents -- one part Tri-Zyme and two parts SA8+Bioquest. The Braves said these detergents are available to the public.

Q: When is the bridge project on McGinnis Ferry Road over the Chattahoochee River going to be finished?

-- Timothy King, Milton

A: Weather permitting, the bridge is scheduled to be completed on June 25, a spokeswoman with the Department of Transportation told Q&A on the News in an email. On Saturday, crews set 14 of the 42 horizontal bridge beams on the center span that provide the foundation of the driving surface of the bridge, the spokeswoman wrote. "Once all the beams are set ... then steel deck pans will be welded between the beams to tie all the individual beams together into one structure," she wrote. After a steel rebar grid is set in concrete, all that will be left is paving, "topping [smooth driving surface], then striping and signage."
