When is a “not tax” increase really a tax increase?

Answer: In Cobb County, where the so-called “not tax” increase is really a tax elongation – a real long elongation.

Thirty years long.

That's the situation with the Atlanta Braves new stadium, SunTrust Park, which is set to open in 2017 and is paid for largely by the tax coffers of Cobb County.

Chairman Tim Lee would probably argue against my explanation. But the good Chairman likes to argue. And, as you can learn more about on MyAJC.com, those who fail to follow The Chairman's circuitous logic often find out it's his way or the highway.
