Much in the fashion that Inman Park got Krog Street Market and the Old 4th Ward got Ponce City Market, Grant Park is poised to get The Beacon.

The developer, Phillippe Pellerin of Pellerin Real Estate, hopes the "$20 million revitalization of six old industrial warehouses" will "revitalize an almost forgotten part of the neighborhood," according to the website.

Everything's still in the early stages, though. Some leases have been signed, but construction isn't set to begin until late this year.

The site describes The Beacon as a cultural destination along the Beltline, which will have everything from an interval training gym to loft office space to family-oriented restaurants.

The planned opening date is late summer 2017.
