Some Cobb County students are playing around in class, and Gov. Deal is rewarding that kind of behavior.

A dozen schools in the Cobb County and Marietta school districts made it on the 2016 Governor's Shape Honor Roll, which is awarded to schools for their "dedication to creating a healthy school environment and a culture of wellness for staff, students and community," according to the program's website.

The schools were judged on certain criteria such as if the school had daily recess or and passed national fitness tests. The schools also had to include a success story.

For example, Mountain View Elementary students and parents moved and grooved to several Zumba routines before school for a week in an event called “Dance with Dad & Move with Mom” led by a Zumba instructor from LifeTime Fitness on two different days. The Chick-Fil-A cow and the Zaxby’s chicken also joined in.
