Woodstock police arrested six teens Thursday for allegedly breaking into a vacant commercial building last month and setting up their own skate park.

Officers responding to a March 28 call about unauthorized entry and damage at the vacant building in the 9000 block of Main Street "found that unknown persons had unlawfully entered the building and set up a makeshift indoor skateboard area while at the same time causing extensive damage to the interior, windows, fire extinguishers and furniture," Woodstock police Officer Randy Milligan said.

Officers returned to the building the following day after getting a call about a group of juveniles in the area.

Police questioned the juveniles, all 15 or 16 years old, and they admitted to being in the building on March 25, Milligan said.

The six teens, whose names were withheld because of their ages, were charged with loitering and criminal trespass, and released into the custody of their parents awaiting Juvenile Court dates.
