Teen found safe days after missing connecting flight in Atlanta

A teenager reported missing after he failed to board a connecting flight in Atlanta has been found, police said.

Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said in an email Monday morning that Darian Maurice Blakes, 18, “has been located and is with his family in Atlanta.”

Blakes, whose last known address was in Midlothian, Texas, flew from North Carolina to Atlanta Thursday, but never boarded his connecting flight to California, Jones said.

Police have not said where the teen was between Thursday and Monday.
