A teenager is in critical condition after a rollover crash in Clayton County Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred on Tara Boulevard near Winding Way Lane in Jonesboro. The car was heading south on Tara when it overturned several times, landing in a northbound lane, Clayton County Police spokeswoman Lt. Rebecca Brown said.

Officers blocked northbound traffic on Tara for about an hour while they removed one of the passengers, who was hanging from a window.

He was rushed to Southern Regional Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition, Brown said. His injuries were listed as life-threatening.

The driver and another passenger were treated for minor injuries at Spalding Regional Medical Center in Griffin, Brown said.

Their identities were unavailable Tuesday.

Brown said the crash is under investigation, but it appears the driver over corrected.
