An 18-year-old Paulding County man is facing multiple charges related to rocks, bricks and objects hitting cars on Villa Rica Highway, officials said.
The first of such incidents happened months ago and was repeated sporadically — but always in the same area between Winndale and Campground School roads, Paulding County sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Ashley Henson said.
After three more cars were reportedly struck Dec. 22, someone called 911 the next day to report suspicious people in the area, Henson said. From official interviews with those people, “a suspect was generated,” Henson said.
Mackinley Graham Pritchard was arrested Thursday on three felony counts of terroristic threats/acts.
Paulding County Sheriff Gary Gulledge commended deputies and detectives for their work, saying such senseless lawlessness would not be tolerated.
“Hopefully our citizens can travel down Ga. SR 61 South with a better sense of security now that Pritchard is in jail.”
Pritchard has a bond of $8,450, which had not been paid by Tuesday afternoon.
An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with further information is asked to call (770) 443-3015.
