Man accused of breaking into Georgia church

Feb 8, 2018An 18-year-old Gainesville man faces charges in the burglary of a local church, officials said.
Fidel Justin Barrientos-Adams was arrested Tuesday in the 2500 Block of Smith Drive in connection with the Jan. 29 incident, Hall County spokesman Lt. Scott Ware said.

Deputies believe Barrientos-Adams unlawfully entered the Pine Crest Baptist Church on Mountain View Road with the intent to commit a theft, Ware said. Barrientos-Adams did not take any items from the church, Ware said.
“Once inside when he saw a surveillance camera, he fled the scene,” Ware said.
He was booked into the Hall County jail on a charge of second-degree burglary and remains held without bond, Ware said.
