The extreme cold, windy forecast has prompted Gwinnett Technical College to postpone the groundbreaking ceremony for its new North Fulton campus, originally scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Construction at Old Milton Parkway and GA 400 begins this month.

The first building, one of three planned, is three stories with approximately 95,000 square feet and will include classrooms, labs and administrative space. When completed, the campus could serve 10,000 students. Classes are projected to start in North Fulton in January 2016.
