Teacher-sex trial: Christopher King
Former Marietta High School teacher Christopher King is charged with sexually assaulting one of his students, a 17-year-old girl. His attorney on Dec. 8 acknowledged the two engaged in a sexual relationship. "They were in love," defense attorney Scott Semrau told jurors. "This may be a bad idea, it may be taboo, but it's not illegal." But Cobb County prosecutor Maurice Brown said King used his position to take advantage of a romantically naive teenager.
