A DeKalb County middle school teacher was denied bond Tuesday for accusations he had sex with a 15-year-old student.

Almarcus Dewayne Thomas, 42, will remain in the DeKalb County jail to await trial for four counts of aggravated child molestation charges and three counts of statutory rape.

Police say he had sex with the student in his classroom and at her home during a relationship that began last April.

Thomas, 42, is also accused of filming video footage under another female student's dress without her knowledge, police said.

While executing a search warrant at Thomas' home, investigators found images of the teen on the teacher's laptop computer, according to the arrest warrant.

The Tucker Middle School teacher was placed on administrative leave by the school system in December after the father of the 15-year-old reported him to school officials.

It is unclear whether Thomas has been terminated.
